Junior (Primary) Education at Shah Lalji Nangpar Academy (SLNA), Nakuru

At Shah Lalji Nangpar Academy (SLNA), we provide an engaging and comprehensive learning experience for our young students, from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our international primary education encourages curiosity, exploration, and academic growth. As our students step into the world of learning, they embark on a journey that nurtures their individuality, enhances their academic skills, and fosters a love for learning through a hands-on approach.

Our approach is rooted in inquiry-based learning, allowing children to explore and discover the world around them while receiving a robust and dynamic education. We offer a balanced curriculum designed to promote creativity, critical thinking, and social responsibility in an inspiring environment.

Primary School Curriculum at SLNA

At SLNA, we provide a stimulating and inclusive learning environment for primary students. Our curriculum is structured to ensure that each child receives a well-rounded education. We offer a mix of academic, physical, and social opportunities, encouraging active participation in learning. Our approach blends independent tasks and teacher-guided group work, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to grow and learn at their own pace.

Our primary curriculum is based on the British Curriculum, which has been adapted to meet the needs of our diverse student body. Students study a wide range of subjects that contribute to their overall development:

  • Mathematics
  • English Language & Literature
  • Science
  • Geography
  • History
  • Art & Design
  • Physical Education
  • Music
  • ICT (Information and Communication Technology)
  • Modern Foreign Languages (French)

Assessment and Monitoring Progress

SLNA places a strong emphasis on monitoring student progress to ensure that academic goals are met. Students undergo regular assessments in English, Mathematics, and Science to track their development and identify areas for further support. These assessments are used to evaluate their mastery of key learning objectives and guide future learning pathways.

At the end of each academic year, students take a comprehensive assessment to mark the transition to the next year. This allows the school to track individual progress, ensuring students are equipped with the skills needed to succeed in higher levels of education.

Extracurricular Activities at SLNA
